Introduction to photography course 2: Applying the basics

Course price: £30 per class (total £120.00 for four classes) - Sunday (1pm-3pm)

6th, 13th, 20th & 27th January 2019

Here we’re assuming you more or less know how to work your camera, that you can operate confidently in Manual mode, and we’re going to concentrate more on the picture-taking process, concentrating on applying the basics. It’s a mix of explanations of how your choices affect the look of the image, some practical exercises - going and taking pictures and going through the results with us, and looking further into and understanding contemporary photography.

Photography (arguably, along with the moving image) has been the art form of the last two decades. This course teaches the starting level nuts and bolts of being a photographer, with an emphasis on photography as art.

Special request?

Please just ask us! We like to adapt our classes so far as possible to concentrate on what is of most interest to attendees. If there is something in particular you would like to know more about, let us know, and we'll see what we can do.

Also, because we are practising professionals working for editorial and commercial clients, it may on rare occasions be necessary to reschedule a class. When this is necessary, we will look for a date which is mutually convenient, or make alternative arrangements to make sure that you don't miss out!
